      Alexander's Testimony

      Picture
I was saved at the age of four as a result of a missionary to the Air Force in Germany.  My family returned to Georgia where we became involved in Liberty Baptist Church.  I submitted to full time Christian service when I was ten and was called to preach when I was in fourth grade. In eighth grade I was able to go to Mexico for my first mission’s trip, where God opened my eyes to the need for churches in Spanish speaking nations.  Two years later I was able to visit Puerto Rico with Steve and Ann Buchanan.  It was here God called me to missions, though I did not submit fully until our Church's Missions conference several months later.  I was able to travel back to Puerto Rico two more times in recent years, where God showed me the town or Rincón.  It is here I feel God has called my wife and me to start our first church.

I was not raised in a devout Christian home. Thankfully, my parents never prevented me from attending church. I first realized I was in need of a Saviour in children’s church. As a ten year-old I accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized. I almost immediately became very involved with the church bus ministry and youth group. I surrendered to full time Christian service when I was in middle school. Still, I struggled for quite a while about what exactly God wanted me to do for Him. I felt as if He was giving me a burden for missions, but I fought God’s will.  When I was sixteen, I finally surrendered to be a missionary. After my freshman year in high school I went to Puerto Rico for the first time with my youth group. God brought Alexander into my life the same year. I still continued to struggle with God on where he wanted me to go for the next four years because I was more interested in practicing medicine. After my freshman year in college, I had an opportunity to revisit Puerto Rico. It was then that I made peace with God and knew that He wanted me to be a missionary to Puerto Rico with Alexander.

      Dear Pastor:
It is my distinct privilege and pleasure to recommend Alexander and Kristen Spear as missionaries to Puerto Rico.  Both of these fine young Christians grew up under my ministry and the ministry of Liberty Baptist Tabernacle.

Alexander and Kristen have been very active soul winners and workers during their teen years and through the present.  They have both served in nearly all phases of ministry including children through College and Career ages.  Through the bus ministry as a route captain and teen bus church preacher, Alexander has gained much expertise.

Alexander and Kristen graduated in May of 2007 from Atlanta Baptist College with proficiencies in Missions.

I would greatly appreciate any help that you may give.
